Chime in if you barely passed (75 to 80) any past sections when all your three testlets contained a majority of only 1 to 2 sentence questions. Maybe about 5 questions with 3-5 sentences questions.

This is the exact reason why I wish I never learned about the “difficulty” (easy,medium,hard) of the MCQ's in association with if you fail/pass.

While I am taking the test, I waste at least 5-20 minutes worrying about if my test is getting harder rather than just taking the darn thing!

Anyway, sorry I don't have an actual answer for you! All I can say is.. it is over and there is nothing you can do so just enjoy the time before the score release date or get to studying your next part :)!

I believe my case was where almost the whole test was pretty simple for REG, most of the questions were 1-2 sentences and had some repeat questions, but I passed it with a 75 on the first try. I was really pissed when I was done, thought it was way to easy and had failed for sure.

This actually happened to me when I took BEC in August. All three testlets had questions that were only 1 or 2 sentences long (the majority being 1 sentence). They didn't change much in difficulty either so I was 99% sure I failed miserably. I ended up with an 85 so I wouldn't put too much thought into it. You never know with this test so I would just wait until score release day and see what happens.

BEC - 8/30/13 --> 85
AUD - 10/6/13 --> 93
FAR- 12/5/13

My AUD had short questions throughout the whole thing and I got a 91…so not a barely pass, yet all short questions!

I wouldn't judge the difficulty by the length of the question necessarily. It makes sense that there's really only a medium and hard difficulty – the AICPA released questions only have those two categories.

You guys give me so much hope!! I retook BEC and restudied for countless hours with Becker, Wiley text, and WTB and I was stunned when some questions were so foreign and tricky. I got 71 last time and still can not figure it out if the testlets got harder or not. Majority of the questions were 1 to 2 sentences, sigh.

The 1st testlet seemed rather difficult with several questions never seen in any of the review materials.

I'm so afraid and constantly worried how I can possibly pass the other sections when BEC feels like Mt. Everest. Good luck all.

I think for almost everyone, one section is harder than the others for them…but that one section changes. It could be that BEC is your nemesis and once you get past it, you'll find out that the others are easier by comparison…so don't be discouraged by your struggles with BEC. Or, it might be that the others are also difficult for you, but that you manage to beat them anyway. 🙂
