The first cpa on record on the California Board of Accountancy is certificate number 9 issued in 1946. As of August 10, 2015 number 127,418 has been issued. In the 69 years between; there has only bee 127k people who have gotten the CPA license in the state of CA.

If we take out the first 8 people that can’t be found and average it over 69 years that is (127,418-9=127,409) / 69 = 1,846.5 people a year. Damn !
