Does anyone out there have a ballpark guess as to how many CPA’s are actively licensed in the US? I can’t seem to find this info anywhere … and if possible a state by state breakdown? Couldn’t find anything on the AICPA or my state’s website.

Licensed Florida CPA:
B: 71, 73, 79
A: 83
R: 78 (expired), 77
F: 74, 74, 80

I have asked this question before and I never seem to get a response, maybe I can get some help here since this has been raised. Im registered in DELAWARE and I also want to know how long it will take for my credits to expire.

Any help from a DE candidate or cpa will be helpful.

@stoleway I would strongly suggest calling or emailing your state board to ask. I'm not sure if it's the same for all NASBA states or if it varies state-to-state, but if they don't have it on their website (and I didn't see anything specifying a timeline), then I'd just contact them and ask. My state board always proved to be helpful!

The credits do not expire in Delaware!

For VA also the credit for CPA exam does not expire(called VBOA)

But still confused with licensing since I have no experience and if say I apply for license after 3 or more years, they have this 120 hr CPE requirement.

Not only is CPA exam difficult but the application process and different rules vary soo much.

I'm very lazy when it comes to contacting my state board because the people that pick up my call sometimes are not good in answering some of these technical questions, and the DE coordinators phone is always on voicemail.
