I promised myself a Bespoke business suit. In the $2000-$3000 range. Yeah, I am a clothes horse. I have even picked out the fabric.

I am curious as to what else my fellow candidates have promised themselves.

I never really planned anything, but a week after taking my last exam I started house-hunting, and about the time I got back the passing score we'd selected a house and were starting the financing etc. process. Two months later bought a car, unplanned, as my '96 finally gave up the ghost…so, goal now is that the CPA will earn its money back so that house and car can be paid off. 🙂 However, I never did anything officially to celebrate licensure or passing exams either one – they both just became official in the midst of an otherwise busy and exciting season in life.

My husband has been sweet and takes me out to dinner every time I take an exam, which is a luxury item for us. If I pass in the next year, though, I get a bonus from my firm that I have planned on spending in too many different ways.

I'm the most excited to come home from work and spend time with my husband and son. To get up on the weekends and not have to give them the “time for me to go study” look. For my son to stop asking “mama going to study?” every time I walk into a different room. I tried to remember what we did with all of our extra time before I started studying and I couldn't recall!

Of course if I pass the next two exams on schedule I won't have that time again until busy season is over… but at least nothing will be hanging over my head when I'm home 🙂

My girlfriend takes me out to eat (nothing fancy) everytime I take an exam and find out a score for an exam regardless of outcome. I think it is her way of getting us some time together and just getting me to take my mind of it. So food isn't going to be a great reward. I'm an avid cyclist so maybe a new bike.

My boyfriend is going to take me out to for a very nice dinner.

As for spoiling myself? I don't usually do that. I'm very practical. Maybe a nice article of clothing.

Either a puppy or a new engine for my VW camper(and the time to install it).

The wife wants to go on a trip though so that's probably more likely.
