I need your guidance regarding CPA certificate/license. Below is a snapshot of my situation:

I passed CPA exam (all parts) in 2011 through Maine Board of Accountancy. I gave all my CPA exams in US.

    At that time my educational qualifications were;

    1) B.Sc. Hons. Agri. (4-Years; 8 semesters Bachelors degree). with only one 3-Semester hours accounting subject that was Farm Systems and Farm Accounts from University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan, in 2000.(Total Degree Semester Hours=200)

    2) M.Sc. Hons. Agri. Economics (2-years; 4 semester) Masters degree programme with concentration in Economics, from same university, in 2003 (Total Degree Semester Hours=50)

    3) MBA Exec. Finance (2 years; 4 semester) Masters degree with concentration in Business and Finance with 4 accounting/tax courses (all 3-semester hours) thus making 12 credit hours from same university, in 2007. (Total Degree Semester Hours=62)

I submitted all my documents to FACS and they found me eligible to sit for CPA exam in 2010 for Maine State.

After passing all 4 parts in November 2011, I received CPA exam pass notice.

When I reviewed requirements for CPA license from Maine State, I need one Auditing course. I enrolled in MS. Accounting at University of Lahore and completed 4-credit hour Audit framework subject in 2013.

Now, total accounting related course detail is jotted below:

    Subject Name Credit Hours

    B.Sc. Hons

Farming Systems & Farm Accounts 3

    MBA

    Financial Accounting: 3

    Analysis of Financial Statements 3

    Managerial Accounting 3

    Business Taxation Laws 3

    MS Accounting

    Audit Framework 4

    Total 19

As far business courses are concerned, there are a number of finance, economics, computer science, mathematics, statistics, business management and marketing courses; likely more than 50 credit hours.

Again I forwarded my academic degrees to FACS and they sent evaluation to Maine State Board of Accountancy with Eligible for Certificate Report.

However, when I reviewed experience requirements, I could not find CPA to attest my experience as my accounting experience is under a CA (Pakistan).

Under these circumstances, kindly guide me which particular path I should take to get my license and which state will suit my education and experience. I can get my one year accounting experience certified by US CPA, but not under direct supervision.

I have shortlisted; Massachussetts non-reporting CPA license as International candidate

I would really appreciate your advice.

Has anyone submitted an application before getting the result of their last exam? I took my last part of the exam on May 7th and submitted my application with all the required documentation the next day. I received an email from NASBA on May 13th saying that my application is in the initial evaluation stage and today, May 27th I received confirmation that I did in fact pass the exam. So my question is, will my application still be valid and considered even though I applied before actually knowing my result.

    BEC: 84 (May 13), 85 (Feb 15) ✔️
    FAR: 65 (Aug 13), 80 ( May 15) ✔️
    AUD: 63 (May 14), 84 (Aug 14)✔️
    REG: 69 (Oct 14), 76 (Jan 15)✔️
    Done.

@shan I know this has been a while. But did you apply for CED before you got your congratulatory letter? Will that be possible to do?

    FAR - 93 (08/24/2014 - First down!)
    AUD - 91 (11/21/2014 - Second down!!)
    BEC - 90 (02/26/2015 - Third down!!!)
    REG - 94 (05/29/2015 - Touch down!!!!!)

    Here comes my touch down!
