Its time to brag a little. How long did it take you to pass all 4 parts?

20 months!! I took and did not pass my first exam 11/2011..Once I took EVERYTHING off my plate except for full-time work and very small social life(3 daughters and husband) passed them all within a year.

I am not bragging! This was the absolute hardest thing I had to do in my life because of all the sacrifices I had to make…But I would do it over again!!

5 months while working full time in Public Accounting… 1 month of the 5 was busy season as well. I would never be willing to do that again. Ever.

It took me just over two years while working full time. I had to take each section twice, except for REG, which I took three times. Once I figured out the learning material that worked for me, I started passing (CPAexcel plus Ninja notes).

I cried like a baby the morning that I found out that I passed. I still remember that morning and it makes me emotional! Granted I just had a baby six months ago, so I'm a little hormonal.. but still!

    3 months working F/T.

This summer, I realized two things: 1) education rules change for CA starting 1/1/14 (I now know that they released this information two years prior, but I didn't realize it was changing until this last summer because I wasn't serious about getting my license any time soon and was thus not paying any attention) and 2) I only needed 4 accounting units to sit for the exam (for some reason I thought it was more). So I took two online classes in July/Aug and got my NTS. Honestly thought it was a long shot but worth a try. Glad I tried!

    Congrats to everyone who passed!

^^^^ WOW!! That's incredible, 3 months and excellent scores, great job!!

technically I'm not done, but I WILL finish off this beast in January, shooting for finishing all parts in 6mos. Luckily I get winter break to study for it, so hopefully I'll be getting the new year off to a great start
