Hi all,
Need some career advice, because I’m really indecisive about my future. See, currently I’m working at a small accounting firm which is about to offer me a full time gig. Hours during tax season are long, but I get some audit experience during the rest of the year which fits into my ultimate goal of becoming a forensic accountant. However, I went on a few interviews and got an offer for a big corporation in their corporate tax department. The pay is a little more than $10k better and there is a work life balance even in their busy season. However, how does corporate tax fit into my big picture? Is there any way that I will be able to use my experience in corporate tax in my future forensic accountant position? If not, should I just stay at my current firm and tolerate the low pay a few years while I brush up my audit skills? Any career advice is welcome!!
