    Hi,

    I just found out I passed my last part BEC- Phew…. I am finallydone.

    I got my MBA which gives me more than 150 credits and also I will get my 2 years experience by the end of this month (Dec 2012). From my understanding, I am qualified for both pathways(CA requirement) and my question is: does it matter which pathway I choose? is there any benefit of choosing one over another? can you please recommend me which pathway I should choose?

    Thanks in advance,

    Fight for it for those who are still on a journey, you will eventually get there….!!! God bless you…!!!

    Supposedly(per my professers in college) pathway 1 is more recognized in other states and is easier to move over to another state. This is also one of the reason CA is eliminating Pathway 2 to be more equal with other statesthat require the 150 units. Hope this helps.

    @littlenumberrobot – you have it backwards…

    @CPA88888 you will want to go with Pathway 2 if you qualify

    From the CA Handbook:

    The CBA has two pathways to licensure – Pathway 1 and Pathway 2. Pathway 2 is most

    similar to the licensing requirements of many other states and the Uniform Accountancy Act

    (UAA). Each pathway has its own educational and licensure requirements.

    ETA: Congratulations on Passing!!!!!!!!!!!! And thanks for the encouragement 🙂
