I recently ordered Yaeger 2011 FAR, and was originally planning to take the exam in Aug 2011. However, some things came up and I decided to delay the exam until November 2011. The 18 month rule hasn’t started for me yet so it won’t jeopardize my other sections or anything like that.

The only thing I worry about is failing FAR on my first try and having to buy the 2012 edition of the same section. Will the 2011 FAR StudyGuide be completely useless? Or will there be just a few minor adjustments that just require a few updates?

I know it won’t be anything like the 2010-2011 change, but I still worry that I might have to pay more for study materials. What are your takes on this?
