Who can Sign for hours?

So…after about 15 months of working for a Big 4, I moved to a different city and different firm.

Now the partner, who said would sign it before, won’t do it. Which seems pretty unethical.

Anyways….If I wanted to get one of my old seniors to sign it could I do that. Is there a certain amount of experience the signing CPA needs? A couple of my managers didn’t have there license b/c they transferred from abroad.

My Big4 has one partner in the office who signs everybody's. Maybe see if yours has anything like that and you could go through that partner?!

Your best bet is to contact your state board. The rules are different state to state so even if I gave you correct information it might not apply to you.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

Wow, that's frustrating. The partner sounds petty. I agree with acamp about finding someone else in the office. Each state has their own requirements about who can sign the experience forms.

Yeah. When I first started and met her, she volunteered to sign it once I finished the exam. Really thought she was on my side. When I first started, I told them I'd want to transfer after a year back home cause of my g/f and family. No transfer due to overstaffing. After leaving she tells me she “has to check with HR” and never gets back to me. Ridiculous.

I'll be checking with the board tomorrow. Thanks guys.

It sounds like she's being really passive aggressive. That's just bizarre that someone even in your own company won't sign it. People suck.
