Hi all,

I’ve passed all sections of CPA exams. I’m wondering which state does not require experience to get license. Is that reporting or non-reporting license?

MA has a non reporting license but you have to have a graduate level degree.

Well, as the prior poster mentioned you have the State of MA's Non Reporting license which is excellent. This is the license I'm about to sit for starting this month after my preparation.

Also from my research, you can also look at the State of CO as they have a no experience option as well. In states like ND and VA your work experience can be verified by someone that's not a CPA.

- AUD: TBA for February 2015
- REG: TBA for May 2015

Also from my research, you can also look at the State of CO as they have a no experience option as well. In states like ND and VA your work experience can be verified by someone that's not a CPA.

If you're flexible about which state you get licensed, you may also want to consider if it's a “substantially equivalent” state.

I, too, “shopped around” looking at the requirements for various states to see which would allow me to get my license sooner.

I did NOT consider CO, because they were NOT substantially equivalent – which can limit your ability to work in some other states, outside of the state of licensure.

So, just wanted to give you something else to keep in mind as you're shopping around.
