I have tried to contact NASBA and my state board to no avail.

What are the next steps I should take.

Have you gone to the state board's website? They usually have forms you can print to complete your application for licensing, assuming you have fulfilled all of your other requirements.

Yes Mamabear. I was there and had to register first. Just wanted to get a game plan on how to proceed. I know I sent my transcripts to NASBA at the start of the exams and hoped they would transfer them over to the board for me.

Your state board should already have your transcripts. To my knowledge they are the ones that actually approve for you to sit for the exam after reviewing your transcripts because you may qualify in some states and not others.

I just called my state board because I sent in transcripts originally, but the application asks for them. Apparently you have to send them again in Florida.

Well that is good to know. I am in Florida and they told me I only had to send in my transcripts for these last 4 classes I am taking AFTER the exam because they already had everything from before the exam. Interesting…

Wouldn't t be nice if two people could call the state board and get the same answer?

I'd imagine some people send in transcripts with enough credits to sit but not enough to be licensed originally. That may be why they ask for the second set.

That is my situation. I had enough to sit, but not enough to be licensed. I am attending a different school for these last 4 classes so I was just going to send in the transcript from this last school when I am done with these classes.

Yep–It would definitely be nice if we could get the same answer from the same board. 🙁
