Hello everyone. I’m seeking advice as to when I should submit my paperwork and apply for my CPA license in PA.
I passed my final section of the exam in October 2014 and have been working towards the final requirement of attaining 1600 hours of experience. Well I hit that mark this week and our office manager recommended that I wait until January to actually apply because then I will be exempt from CPE Requirements until 2018.
I see the appeal of that but I’ve been waiting a long time to get licensed and would like to just make it official. On the other hand, it seems silly not to wait 2 extra months and avoid 80 hours of CPE classes which people say are awful.
Has anyone had a similar experience or have any advice?
