Hey all! I’m a relatively new CPA licensed in VA. I just received a job offer that would require me to work in Maryland. I was wondering how hard it is to get reciprocal licensing in Maryland for a Virginia resident. I heard somewhere that Maryland requires either four years of practical experience, or at least one-year in accounting experience supervised by a practicing CPA.
Here’s my issue… I have about two years of experience in federal audit, but the federal government doesn’t require its auditors to be CPAs. My supervisor isn’t a practicing CPA. Would this be something that could prevent me from getting licensed in Maryland?
BEC - 90 PASSED
FAR - 84 PASSED
AUD - 93 PASSED
