Hello all, looking for a bit of advice here.
I have completed all requirements for CPA licensure in my state. I have submitted everything, and the state board has confirmed receipt of all pieces of the application, but it is in the criminal background check phase (I’m totally clear there lol).
My issue is that I am ready to move on to a new position ASAP. I’m itching for a new challenge, and a recruiter has presented several interesting opportunities to me. I mentioned that I would like to apply after I am, technically, a CPA so I can put those letters on my resume. He suggested that I put the letters after my name, but add an asterisk and a note explaining the situation.
I feel like I might be able to get in trouble for this. I’d appreciate any thoughts or advice! Thanks a million!
