Does anyone know how long it takes to get your license back from TX State board?

I mailed everything in 7/15 and my $50 check cleared the bank 7/19. I still have not heard back from them. I have been checking my spam mail just in case the licensing fee email got sent to there. I’m starting to think maybe I failed the ethics exam and that’s why its taking so long.

    Thanks everyone

I always found the people I spoke with on the phone to be friendly and helpful. Not always the answers I want, but helpful at least.

Every time I call the state board, they transfer me to the guy I am assigned to. He does not return voicemails or emails so it is a lottery to see if he will answer the phone. Today must have been my lucky day because he said I should receive my license notification within a few days. Thank goodness.

I guess I was lucky. They received my applicaton packet on Jan 10th and received approval on the 23rd. I submitted my fees on the 27 and my license was mailed on the 30th. There was a slight delay as they had to approve my government exemption for the $200 professional fee. On the 27th, I emailed them and asked when could I use the CPA designation. They said that day. The online information is 1 day behind.
