Guess what I’ve been doing now that I don’t have to study for the CPA exam anymore!

    1. Planning my wedding

    2. Knitting

    3. Playing Tera (online MMO)

    4. Reorganizing and redecorating my house

    5. Reconnecting with old friends and making some new ones

    6. Spending a lot more time with my family

    7. Shopping

    8. Occasionally posting on this forum 🙂

There is a lot to look forward to! Pass this exam and then spend your free time however you want (like I am)! :0) It’s such a relief!!!!

I definitely feel like I am in the darkness right now. I have this analogy of crawling down the rabbit hole when it comes time to study…Alice in wonderland…things become very weird and everything feels surreal (like just going through the motions of each day in some zombie state all the while repeating anything I can about the section I am studying for). No one should talk to me at work because all I hear is Cindy Simpson babbling in my head. Needless to say I can not wait til I come out of the darkness into the light again!!! 🙂

Thanks for sharing and giving me hope.

    Three words…

    1. Congratulations

    2 and 3. Bite us.

    😀

    Enjoy your new found freedom!

I liken this journey to that of the infamous Andy Dufresne of The Shawshank Redemption when he squirts out of that sewer pipe. 😀 Pretty good analogy if you ask me. In fact, one of the catch phrases when my wife asks me to do something while I am studying is “Dammit Dufresne you're putting me behind” 😀 As a joke of course and when the kids are NOT around.

    Congrats!

My brain and any sense of urgency pretty much went out the window when I passed my last part. I went out every night for 3 weeks straight, dinner and drinks with friends, shopping, etc without a care in the world. I was also able to leave my bad job/bad boss a few months later.

    Couldn't pass again!

@Mom2two – I totally understand. Hang in there! It will be worth it!

@CPApending – I like your analogy, and thank you for specifying that the kids aren't around. LOL!

    @jelly – Congrats, that's awesome. 🙂

@Herbieherb – Yes!!!!! I was in the beta but my computer STINKS so it could barely run it (tons of lag). I just ordered a new computer a couple days ago and I can't wait to get it! i7 processor… yum. Are you going to be playing? Diablo 3 was just released today. Have you tried Tera? I've found myself a new addiction.

I confess that I do own an Xbox, but I rarely play games on it… I usually just watch Hulu and Netflix. I'm too addicted to computer MMOs to really get sucked in to Xbox gaming. But I do love the kinect games, and I'm hoping to play through some of the Final Fantasy games eventually. Just been busy with wedding stuff. 🙂 I finally got done with registering for wedding/bridal shower gifts… Fun, but it takes a ton of time!!!

    Kanids –

Where are you guys going for your HoneyMoon?

My fiance's family and friends are flying out from Pennsylvania to California and they are all staying for 5 days after our wedding, and I have a lot of family driving about 10 hours from Southern CA, so we have decided not to take a real honeymoon right after the wedding. We're going to stay in town and spend time with our families instead.

I'm thinking that we will probably take a short honeymoon to Napa Valley or something along those lines sometime during November ot December. We're planning on taking a “real” honeymoon to somewhere tropical on our first anniversary hopefully, however with the way we are planning, I'm thinking we'll have a newborn at that time, so it'll get pushed back to 2nd year anniversary. 🙂

What a long answer to a simple question, right?!

:)_ from a men's perspective, it is indeed a long answer. And to top it all, you are throwing kids into the equation:)

Napa will be cold in Nov/Dec, it was for us in Sept, but only during early am hours and after sunset…. But the wine country is really good, you guys will like it.

I wish you and your fiance the very best in life.

Haha kandis…I never played tera. I think my pc might be outdated for diablo 3 also. It was fine for wow. But that was years ago. Congrats on wedding :). Did you invite any guildmates LOL…

Hey Herbie, thanks! 🙂 LOL actually we happened to be at Disneyland at the same time of one of our old guildies a couple years ago and we hung out and had a couple beers, and she has been invited. 🙂

I was in the Diablo 3 beta and my computer about had a heart attack. It was fine for WoW too.
