The 11th hour

    Hi all,

I’m taking REG this coming Saturday (Feb 12th). I’ve completed the Becker 2011 review course, done nearly all the questions twice, and scored a 69 (with a LITTLE bit of book help) on Becker’s Final Exam 1. (Note, I scored a 58% on Becker’s FAR exam and came out with a 78 on the real exam).

I know there are a few areas that I’m weak in, but all the areas seem to be so equally weighted on the exam (between 15-20%) that I can’t decide what to study or how to study it. What are your 11th hour/final week strategies?? Should I just be doing MC’s, and writing down the concepts that I get wrong and memorizing those? I’ve done that already with some of the MC’s — I made my own flash cards based on questions that I have gotten wrong in Becker.

ANY advice would be appreciated. This is my last exam and I REALLY want to pass it!!

CPA2011plz – I would just go back and focus on the problem areas, trying to pick up on as much as you can on it before the exam….Also, I like to get up early the day of the exam and do 100 MCQ before I go just to get the blood pumping!

    REG 85 | FAR 85 | AUD 88 | BEC 76!!! DONE!!!!

So I just took REG today, and I got hit hard with those questions that test the tiniest little facts (you know…typical CPA trickery). So I would say to focus on your problem areas, just in case they decide to give you a lot of MCQs on the real exam on that one topic that you're not really that strong in.
