Anyone from TX who can tell me how TSBPA notifies you of being official. Do you just get an email? I heard they register new CPAs on Mondays – does anyone know if that’s still the case?

About a week after my final result showed up online, I received a package from the TX board that I had to fill in and return. There was an application for license, a 25 question code of professional conduct test to fill in and an oath. I also had to complete a 4 hour ethics course and send in the certificate for that course before they issue the license. There is also a $50 fee. I sent this in last week and I have heard it takes a few days for them to mark the test and verify that the ethics course is one that they approve of. Once they have processed the application and assuming I passed the code of professional conduct test, I believe they send out another letter requesting the pro-rated annual fees. Once this is paid, I believe they issue your license and make you official.

    FAR - 95
    REG - 93
    AUD - 91
    BEC - 85

It took the Texas board several weeks to send me my paperwork through the mail. I did get a congratulations letter a week or two after passing my last section though.

You can download all the forms they send you in the package except for the rules of professional conduct test and have them done ahead of time.

I received my packet in the mail from the TSBPA today and the experience form is a big brochure. Has anyone used the online copy of the experience form instead? My odd boss moved to Utah so I would prefer to email her the online version instead of mailing a brochure.
