    Hi all,

    I am a student who just completed the 150 credit hour requirement for taking the CPA exam. I got a degree from a liberal arts college in economics, and then decided to become a CPA after graduation. I just took a year of accounting classes at a university to meet the credit requirements.

    I have above a 3.7 GPA at both schools.

    However, I was suspended my Junior year of undergrad, and it shows on my official transcript.

    I am wondering if this will keep me from getting my CPA License?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can go into details of my suspension of necessary.

    Cheers

    I wouldn't think so, unless there was something accompanying it that would make you not pass the background check. However, the best thing to do is just call your state accounting board.

    The question is WHY were you suspended?
    It appears that it was NOT grade related if you pulled a 3.7.

    @Recked

    Your scores are amazing and I had a question
    I dont have any experience of accounting at work so do you think it would be difficult for me to pass CPA? especially the sims?
    Just got done with undergraduate and appearing in 2 months for BEC. Studying full time at the moment
    Please share your thought.

    Real world experience helps for sure, but if you study and do the SIMs your course provides you should know enough to pass.
    Also be sure to check out the AICPA Sample Tests, those SIMs on the sample tests will give you a taste of what they are like and how best to answer them.
