Successful Candidate Letter??

I became a CPA last month. The scores for my remaining AUD section came out during Q2 of the July-August score release (Around the 20th of August to be precise).

However, it’s almost near to a month and I haven’t received the “Successful Candidate Letter”. Do I receive it after I pass the Ethics exam? How long does it take to get the letter at your doorstep after you pass the exams?

I’ve been applying for several jobs and they’ve asked me for documentary proof with respect to my CPA qualifications. I was hoping I could get the “Successful Candidate Letter” off the NASBA website, but they only have a paid link for “re-printing” the letter.

Now, I’m having to attach 4 four copies of my score result mails for each of the sections as documentary proof. The score release mails from NASBA don’t seem too professional enough to distribute to prospective employers :/

By when did everyone else receive their “Successful Candidate Letters” after passing their last section of the CPA exams?

    BEC - 88
    REG - 72, 78
    FAR - 75
    AUD - 64, 64, 3rd attempt!!!

Are you a CPA, or have you just passed all 4 exams? There's a difference.

For most states, the letters are sent out the first day of the first month in the following testing window.

For example, I took my last exam in April, received my score in May, then received my letter the first week of July (they mailed it out July 1).

So for your timing, I would expect your letter to be mailed out October 1, and you should receive it sometime after that. Not all states are the exact same schedule, but this is a common one.

What K917 said above, usually about a month after the end of the testing window. In most cases if you've fulfilled all of the requirements to get a license you don't need to wait for that letter to begin the CPA application process. Just make sure you aren't presenting yourself as a CPA ( you mentioned being asked about your CPA qualifications and said you became a CPA in August) to potential employers until you have a license number that you can provide.

    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75
