Sooo….I am 27, married, and have a 2 yr old and a 5 week old. I am working full time and studying my tail off when I have the time. My main goal is not to go bat $&@$ insane during this process. Anyone else dealing with anything similar?

I started studying when my first was about 7 months. I was already pregnant with my second (14 mos apart). I also work fulltime (40 hours/week.) I studied about 6 months for each section because I could only study at night for about 2 hours/night, 5 nights/week and some Sunday afternoons. My husband is awesome. He cooks, cleans, watches the kids. My daughter is 2.5 now and my son almost 15 months and I just passed my last section. I actually only studied for 3 months for that one, and did not feel as prepared as I did with the others. There is definitely no way to describe the feeling of being done! Just want to say that if you really have the will and the support, you can definitely do it!

I have a 7 year old and a 1 year old. I used to be very frustrated about the fact that I was not able to block out an hour or two (preferably same time of the day) to get into the routine of studying. I think that the best approach is to stay extremely flexible and aim at 2-3 hours of study time a day either when kids go to bed, lunchtime, downtime at work, listen to audio during commute etc. I work full time and try not to sacrifice time with my kids when I'm home. I do sacrifice however my social life, cooking (we've been doing way more take outs lately), cleaning (I just do basic stuff in between study sessions, like throw in a load of laundry, unload dishwasher etc), grocery shopping (switched to grocery delivery). My goal is to study 3 hours every day whenever I have a chance to do it. Sometimes kids will take a nice long nap during the weekend, sometimes they will have an early bedtime and sometimes they will get sick, you just have to balance everything out and be creative with finding time to study. For me, the most frustrating part of studying with kids is that your schedule is quite unpredictable and you really have to stay positive and FLEXIBLE, which I'm still struggling with…
