Got a question for those of you taking or already passed the exam.

When studying a section (for example BEC)….how do you go about studying the material? For example….when you’ve covered the material in a specific chapter, do you go back the next day and review what you covered yesterday OR do you study all of the material (entire book) over a set amount of weeks/months then go back & review?

My reasoning…..I feel like over a set number of weeks I will forget what I covered in the first chapter.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I usually go back and study what I learned previously. That's why I am a little bit slower in my studying (also my work schedule is a mess, and I have time to study 3 hrs a day only -weekdays, and weekends about 15 yrs. But as you said, I usually forget a chapter (new-Gleim, which is pretty short – a few pages), and I make sure within a week I go back and study. It makes me feel more confortable about the material i read if I do that. Rather than study 2 months per part and just fail, I want to study instead 4 months and pass for sure. I have a hard time going over the simulations as well as flow charts (i am studying auditing). Hope that helps. :)) Good luck to you!!

I haven't seem to have gotten down a study method yet 🙁 I did something completely different for FAR and AUD and then tried to use my AUD strategy for BEC and am realizing it's NOT working AT ALL 🙁

    FAR-91 (7/29)
    AUD-99 (8/23)
    BEC-90 (10/1)
    REG-99 (11/3)

In my experience in studying for BEC, Reg and Auditing I finished all the chapters and do the assigned homeworks and read the book 2nd time around. In my last 2 weeks before my actual exam, I would concentrate of doing tons of MCQ's. In FAR, I did it differently this time. I did not read the book but rely on the Yaeger HS and plan on doing the lectures twice or thrice (if I have time).

    BEC 2/8/10 - 75 (studied hard & prayed less)
REG 5/15/10 - 88 (studied less but prayed hard)
AUDITING 8/9/10 - 79 (studied hard and prayed hard)
FAR 11/30/10 - 79 (studied hard and prayed hard) Thanks GOD! I'm DONE

I'm one of those learners that has to go back over what I've studied. That's why I think my studying is going to take longer than others (on here). I'm only shooting for that 75, but I'm afraid if I don't go back over what I've looked at previously, then this may be a long road ahead of me. I may be putting too much thought into it, though. Just wanted to see others opinions/suggestions. Thanks for replying~
