Statement from supervising CPA

Hi I have the same questions: Does anyone have recommendations on what worked to submit their application for license?

I’m in Texas; I’ve passed all 4 parts; I’ve completed one year of work experience in industry as the controller for a Texas nonprofit corporation. The CPA engaged to supervise my work in the non-routine accounting areas is wondering what exactly the TSBPA is looking for in this area of this form “CERTIFICATION OF CPA ENGAGED TO PROVIDE SUPERVISION”.

Any thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    TIA

    Tom

In Kansas, I only needed someone who was a licensed CPA who could attest to the work I was doing in the company. They weren't my direct supervisor, but they knew of my work. I hope that's somewhat helpful.

Late to the party on this but Oregon has a list of core competencies and it could give your supervising CPA a decent number of them to use as a guide. It is posted with the State of Oregon Accountancy Board's initial license requirements. I used it to capture highlights that assisted my supervisor with her experience statement.
