    Hey guys,

Just found out this past weekend I passed FAR, which was my last exam, and am now currently filling out the paperwork for the licensure application. I couldn’t find an answer to a question I have regarding the experience requirement on the forums.

Is it required that you have to have “ALL” past employer(s) sign off on your experience?? I left my previous firm three years ago and at that time, I met the two years general experience requirement. However, I did not obtain the partner’s signature prior to leaving (STUPID OF ME).

In any case, I’ve been with my current firm for three years now with both general and attest experience. Can I just have the partner of my current firm sign off? It would seem cumbersome to have the previous partner sign off when the current partner for whom I work for can do it. Just want to be thorough with the application process and avoid any possible delays.

I plan on calling the CBA tomorrow but thought I’d ask here to see if anyone had a similar experience and/or answers to my question. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Thank you, that's my take on it too. Its so vaguely written which is good in one aspect, covers a wide range, and then on the opposite end, the one signing off gets hesitant because it is so vague. Im submitting the form shortly for review so trying to get all he backup I can to make them confident that its covered under the requirement. Almost easier just to take another exam….

I don't work for DMHC, Im in private industry although we're held to CA regs, particularly in billing and auditing

May have been easier to be working for the state..

Oh I see. It makes sense now…cuz I was going to say that state employers shouldn't be worried about signing the form. I guess I'm used to seeing “supervisor” title with the state jobs more than private πŸ™‚ So, yes, no worries.

By chance, did your experience submitted include anything similar to what mine is?

I'm a tax auditor so yes and no πŸ™‚ my experience is even less valuable than yours if we were to compare….but audit is audit!
