How big is the raise usually after once becoming a CPA? Also, for most firms do you have to wait until you actually receive the license to get the raise or do they give it to you upon passing all 4 parts?

That honestly depends on your company. At the big 4 and most other CPA firms you do not receive a raise just the bonus for finishing. In industry majority of my friends did receive a raise after finishing, but it wasnt ground breaking, I believe it was 5-10% increase.

I work @ Grant Thornton, & have friends at RSM, PwC, Deloitte, & KPMG. You don't get a raise, you just get a passing bonus upon completion of the 4th test. They also reimburse the testing/NTS fee for the first attempt of each test at all of these I believe (GT for sure does). From what I can tell the bonus is 5k across the board except for 3k at RSM because they give a 2k signing bonus when you start from what I understand.
