    Hi,

I recently heard that only external auditing counts as “public accounting” working experience, which I feel very limited for most of the accounting professionals. Anyone who knows what “public accounting working experiences” really include? Does working in corporate count? And do taxes, internal audit, and/or accounting count? Does internship count? And does the working experience abroad count?

Sorry, I just have so many questions! Anyone can help me out here? Thanks a bunch!!

@mla11692 Do you know what we are gonna say on the character letters and employment letter? Do you still have the ones that you used for your application? Did you write it or did you have your employers write it? Thanks a lot!

Hey joyflying, are you able to share how did you study for the exam?

@Nini I don't wanna be overwhelmed so I decided that I will only take one section in each test window. So basically, I will spend a whole day listening to the lecture and the second day doing all the multiple choice questions in that chapter. I will usually get an average of 75% – 85% accuracy on my MCQ in the first round. The first round of the study usually took me about two weeks to four weeks since there were always other stuff in between.

On the second round, I would read a bit more into details so that I would not make the same mistakes in multiple choice questions as I did in the first round. Usually in the second round, I only did those MCQ that I did wrong or marked in the first round. If I hit a at least 90% accuracy in MCQ in the second round, I would do the sim in the second round as well; Otherwise, I would wait until the third round to do it. The second round usually took 1 – 3 weeks.

On the third round, I usually had a pretty good idea what is in the book. So I basically just browse through to see whether there were any points that slipped my mind. And again multiple choice questions that I still marked and had doubts about. I usually got at least 98% accuracy in the third round.

I would do the two final exams after the second round and third round respectively to see how I prepared myself. And then you still have time after that, the main thing you do is trying not to forget any of it and keeping yourself calm. 😛

On the exam day, wear your favorite clothes and look pretty!

    I hope this helps!
