Jeff, Sorry I have to disagree with your statement:
“People get their IDs stolen when they respond to fake e-mails asking for their PP password”
You couldn't (necessarily) be further from the truth. Yes, thats true in some cases. However, in my case, someone, somehow got all of my information name, dob, ssn, etc., used some phony e-mail and opened a PayPal account, started withdrawing funds from various bank accounts and I got stuck dealing with their collection agents for 3+ months for $5000 bucks. It gets better. The day after I get someone from law enforcement to listen, i call them to let them know, within 1 hour they send me an e-mail, saying its been resolved. Total costs (long distance calls, certified mail, copying etc.,) $450.00.
I vowed never, ever, use PayPal as long as I live on this planet. However, I broke my vows and I did purchase your book using a pre-paid credit card that was about to expire, unfortunately it was under my name and not “Homer J. Simpson.” But no matter what, I will never, ever, ever again use PayPal again. The thing is, I'm passionate (and desperate) about passing this thing. : )
Thanks for the website and the book. It is keeping me sort of sane.
