NTS and retaking question

    Hello everyone.

My girlfriend and I both got our NTS with all four sections on them, in July 2010. We took BEC together in August and scheduled AUD for Octover.

We are still waiting for our BEC scores, my girlfriend is convinced she failed mightily. She wants to re-take BEC this year.

From what I’ve read, we need to wait for the current NTS to expire in…April 2011 in order to get a new one, and also go through the re-application process again is this true?

Doesn’t make any sense to me as retaking ASAP keeps the material fresh in our brains. How can failing the first section on the NTS eliminate the chance of passing all four parts in 9 months.

We are in CA by the way.

Thank you for all your comments.

After the scores are released if she did not pass she just requests a new NTS for just the BEC section. The original NTS is still valid and any open sections can be scheduled normally.

Depending on how soon she can re-study and sit for BEC will guide how long it will take to pass all 4 parts. It is still possible. Have hope – many people feel bad after BEC it is a mixed bag of an exam.

Thank you so much! You clarified for me in 100 words something I couldn't find searching google and this site, board of accountancy, etc…for hours!
