Now what?

Well, I got my final passing score on December 9th…had all my transcripts/experience documents into the state board by December 18th…and was granted my license on Christmas eve (while at DisneyWorld). This morning I updated my e-mail signature line at work. Seems all a little anticlimactic. I guess now I will work on a diet and gym schedule to get myself back into shape after 8 months of studying. Anybody else kind of just in a daze wondering what’s next?!

I'm hoping to be in your situation very soon. I'm not counting my chickens before they hatch as I have to slay BEC in < 2 weeks, but I have a feeling I'm going to experience the same thing as you. I was told once by someone in my firm “nobody cares if you have it (CPA), but it's a problem if you don't have it.”

Congrats on being on the other side. I'd take some time off mentally, work on things that you've put on the backburner, then perhaps work on another certification when the time is right.

It is pretty anti-climatic. If you work in public or elsewhere and have a big bonus coming upon completion, then it can be more exciting, but otherwise it's somewhat like “Oh look, I'm a CPA – I've known I would be ever since I sent in the paperwork, but now it's official, the end”. Remember, this feeling of “not sure what's next” is what you worked so hard to get, so enjoy it! 😉

I am in the same situation. Passed the exam, turned in my application, and well, that's it. What now? I don't know why I expected some kind of permanent euphoria. It's so hard to hold on to a good feeling.

Haha – going through the same thing. Thought I'd be able to get everything submitted in time to make the January board meeting, but apparently I'm at the mercy of NASBA, and they aren't exactly working around my schedule (which they totally should be, obviously!). So now I'm in a holding pattern until late February. *Twiddles thumbs*

I'm also there. Have a lot of free time. I purchased the GMAT study guide, maybe I'll take that and look into Grad school. Other than that my schooling/studying is likely over. Feels good to move onto other interests.

Swimming every morning at 6AM before work, doing weights three days a week, eating healthy…watching RHOBH marathons with my better half. I'm getting used to this post-CPA studying life!

I'm probably the only one who will continue to do some studying after this beast is done. Prior to the CPA, I passed part of Louisiana's notary exam and I will be returning to it after February, hopefully. The bank I used to work for is in need of a notary to do signings for all of it's branches in my city so it will be some very nice side money. Plus, I have to keep myself busy otherwise I get into trouble, haha.

I found out I passed my last section on December 9th. Got through the holidays and now I'm finished with everything I had put off because of studying. It's a great feeling, but now I feel lost.

I know I need to job search, but I'm afraid. I'm afraid I'll get in over my head.

I dream of the day I pass my last section. Seriously…I have actual dreams about it close to an exam. I hated studying in school and I hate it more now. I want my life back. Haven't been to the gym in a week. I think I can feel myself wasting away.

I just got home from the testing center on my last section (BEC). I'm sitting at my desk in my room starting at the screen not knowing what to do.
