So I passed all the exams and have met the educational and experience requirements. I received my last passing score Nov. 4th. I have my application and experience forms all filled out and ready to send in. I called the NJ Board of Accountancy today and they told me that I should wait for the letter and package from them before I send everything in because they may lose my application because they have no file for me yet. I found out that once you pass, NASBA sends them a file after the close of the testing window. Called NASBA and they said they would be sending the files January 1. Once the board receives the file, they send you the package and that is when you can apply.
So that is all fine, EXCEPT the one employer who signed off on my experience sent the statement of experience directly to the state yesterday.
Has anyone sent everything in prior to receiving anything from the state? Have you had any issues? Did they lose any of your information? I plan on contacting the state Monday to see if they received the SOE from this employer. I know he sent it certified so they had to sign for it.
Thanks in advance!!
