Hey everyone,
I passed the CPA exam in the state of NJ and have worked in tax for the past 10 months or so. As many of you know, NJ requires like 50% audit experience or i.e. ‘financial statement exposure.’ I’m mainly in a compliance role and haven’t done any provision work. If I want to get licensed ASAP do any you have recommendations as to what’s the best course of action? Should I transfer my scores to NY (which doesn’t have this financial statement exposure requirement) or does anyone have a better idea? I’m asking NJ CPA candidates who pursued a career in tax so if you can answer if you fit that criteria, I’d greatly appreciate it.
Thanks.
