New York State – Can both Cost & Managerial Accounting count toward licensure?

    In New York State, can I apply both Cost Accounting and Managerial Accounting toward the 33 required credit hours in Accounting on the 150 semester hour pathway? I.e., can I take both courses and have them both count? (The content is overlapping to at least some degree, but the courses differ in other respects.)

    I e-mailed this question to the CPA Board but understand it can take a couple weeks or more for them to respond – and of course, Fall course registration is coming up. Thank you for your help!

    Yes, I'm pretty sure they both count.
