hi all – I wanted to get some advice on what to do in my situation. I paid for all 4 exams last year and the last date I can take them is July 1, 2011. I had delayed starting the exam process until late November. I’ve taken two since then and now taking BEC at the end of this week.

My question is I am supposed to take AUD on July 1st because that is the last day I can take it. Honestly, I am not sure if I will have enough time to study for this exam. I tried calling prometric to see whether I can reschedule for a fee but was informed its a NASBA issue and called them to see my options. Since I don’t have a real reason to want to reschedule the exam (death in the family, military leave, etc.), I was told I can’t reschedule the July 1 date which I was assuming would be the case.

Has anyone been in this situation before? It seems I have two options:

1) Take AUD on July 1. This gives me a month to study AUD and that would include me working full time. If anyone has taken AUD, if I make a conscience effort to get studying in before/after work and during weekends, would this be enough time? I’m not very experienced in AUD (I do tax) but did take 2 classes on it in college a couple years ago.

2) Cancel appointment & repay exam fee – I would do this only so I can take the exam during the same testing window. Ideally, I want to take the exam in late July/early August.

What do you guys think? any input is greatly appreciated. I really want to be done with this exam so I am not sure if I want to take AUD again in October (and get scores in December ugh) if I fail on July 1. I’ll be studying with Becker 2011. Thanks in advance guys….

I think that with 1 month, you can do it. You'll just have to study a lot in the time you have and be very dedicated. Good luck!

Push through it! I am starting audit studying on June 4th and taking it right after the July 4th weekend. Even if you fail, you would have wasted the fees anyways. I'd push through it and get the experience on that section!

I would say take the test on July 1. You already paid the fee, so why not take it to get the feel of it. And besides, I think one month preparation is enough. AUD in my opinion has the least amount of information compared to the other parts.

I dont know about the other review courses, but i used becker for audit and 4 weeks is def enough! its 5 chapters and i did 2 chapters a weeks and reviewed for a week and a half…i would take it on Jul 1 if I were you.

As others have said, you already paid the exam fee so you have nothing to lose but everything to gain. A month should be enough time for you to thoroughly study for AUD if you're dedicated. You can do it!
