Hi Laura,
I had a couple of follow-ups on your response above.
First, if the states eligible for the NASBA experience verification service are only states where we can get the experience signed off by any active U.S. CPA (as opposed to an active U.S. CPA who was our direct supervisor, like the California requirement), what are the advantages of using the NASBA service for someone who can have their experience signed off by an active CPA?
In other words, if I have an active U.S. CPA who can sign off on my experience for one of the 10 NASBA experience verification states (Washington, Montana, etc.), what do I get for my $500 by going through the NASBA experience verification service instead of going directly to one of those state boards?
For example, does the NASBA service help with the transfer of the CPA scores, and does it matter if the state you are transferring from is not a NASBA state for CPA Exam purposes (like California)? Could the licensing process be expedited by going through the NASBA service?
Second, I accessed the ALL service you mentioned for $10 to research state requirements. When I logged on, I noticed that there is another service (for $45) that helps guide you through specific state requirements. Does the $45 cover the 3-month access to the database for all the states, or are you forced to pick a state when you pay the $45?
Thank you for all your help!
