So I just put my two weeks in at my current job. I take my last exam the middle of November and will not find out the results until about Dec 10.
My issue is that I would like to obtain my moral character references by coworkers before leaving in order to avoid potential issues with getting them later. Do any of you know if submitting an application in December with moral character references dated September would be inadmissable? Is this something that should be done after finding out I have passed all 4 sections?

Its going to depend on the state you're applying to. In some states the timing will matter and in other states it will not.

You may as well get the references now. It's only three months but they will be tougher to get after you leave.

Im curious though. Are the character references in addition to, or in lieu of, a fingerprint background check?

I re-read the application package and it looks like the character references are good 1 year from when they are dated so I'm going for it!!!

The character references are a requirement, not in lieu of a background check.
