For the Michigan people that are curious about how long it takes to get licensed here is my timeline so far:

8/2/19 – Final passing score received
8/7/19 – Application sent in via certified mail
    8/9/19 – Application was delivered
8/13/19 – Application check for fee was deposited

NOTE – Received the following response email from the Michigan BPL:

Thank you for contacting the State of Michigan, Bureau of Professional Licensing.

The typical processing time for applications with our office is 4-6 weeks, however, it depends on the volume of applications that we have. Once your payment has been cashed by the Finance Department, your application will be put in line for processing and review.

Thank you! I would be happy if I received it within 3 weeks, but 6 weeks… not very happy lol

I got my final score around Dec 18th. I was licensed on 2/7/19. 6 weeks is a good bet.

    Aw man.

I have a question. Along with the license, do you get information further explaining the license renewal process?

Not really. I'm still a it clueless in that regard. I do know in the first year of licensure, you don't need any CPE.

8/23/19 – My name and license number now shows up on the Michigan LARA website, that was quick! Still hasn't sunk in yet
