    I am finally a CPA

    n

I passed my fourth and final part in May 2009 and immediately proceeded to take my ethics exam and get my experience certified. I then received a message from the board of accountancy that they did not have my transcripts. I immediately called and they indicated that I had applied to take the exam so long ago (9 years before) that they no longer had my college transcripts on file. Although it was one final curve ball the CPA threw at me I was finally able to get my license in November 2009.

Just wanted to spare other CPA candidates from the same fate….good luck to all.n

Hell, even though my initial application was not that long ago, *I* am worried that the state board doesn't have my transcripts on file, even though I clearly sent them.

I was thinking about calling them and making sure….of course, even that is no guarantee of anything, as the Florida Board does not always answer the phone, and when they do answer the phone, they tend to be standoffish and don't give you the right information. Terrible, terrible BOA.n
