MA CPA (non-reporting license) – what do I really need?

    Hi All,

As of today, my long journey of passing the CPA is complete! And now the journey begins of getting my license.

I have an undergraduate degree (147 credits – 27 of which are accounting) and have worked in corporate accounting for the past 3+ years (no public experience).

So one more accounting course should get me to 150.

I’m confused on the experience / education requirements. I don’t have the masters, I don’t have the 1 year experience. It looks like I have the 3 years of non-public accounting experience, but how does the Board exactly “grant” this?

    Thanks for the help!

You either need a masters or public experience.

I have over 20 years of corporate accounting experience which counted for NOTHING toward my license. I do have a masters so I got a non reporting license.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

Are you sure this is accurate? I know some states are more lenient than others.

Your answer almost sounds like an incorrect hard line mcq 🙂

    BEC - 74 , 77
    REG - 65 , 76 (10 point combooo!!)

Regarding MA requirements, @mla is correct.

    R - *77*(02/'13)-Becker & NINJA
    A - 71('11); *87*(04/'13)-Becker & NINJA
    F - *76*(08/'13)-Becker & NINJA - "server upgrade" survivor
    B - 60('11); *82*(10/'13) -Becker & NINA

    DONE, DONE, AND DONE.

    CPA in Massachusetts; issued 01/24/14

Ziebs it's fairly simple to verify my answer. The question was specific to MA, as was the answer. Other state are irrelevant. If it sounds like an incorrect hard line MCQ that's because you didn't actually read the question. Watch out for that.

And considering I've gone through the entire process yes, I'm sure.
