I’ve been trying, unsuccessfully, to determine what information I have to gather and submit after I pass all four exams. Three done and one to go in November so tying to look ahead to next steps.

    Thanks!

BEC - Passed AUD - Passed REG - Passed FAR - Passed
It feel surreal to be done with the exams! I think it is still sinking in.

@lucretia123–Hey there, currently I am going through MA license application process and I may can give you some clues.

After passing the exams, NASBA will mail you a congratulation letter to congratulate you for passing the exams. Then you can download the checklist and application form from MA board (if you google MA CPA application, it will pop up).

There are two kinds of license-reporting and non-reporting. I am applying for non-reporting one.

According to the checklist, notary, 3 reference letter and academic evaluation are necessary. But for reporting, you must have 1 year assurance working experience verification.

Also, you need to NASBA web to do the online application and pay 100 USD. Here is the link-https://mycpalicense.org/#

I strongly suggest that you can call NASBA up and let them transfer you to MA coordinator and they will tell you exactly what to do next according to your own record in their system. I called them several times to check my status already. After you pay for the online application, you also can get the email tracking from NASBA. I got one today said my application is under initial review now. So it helps…

    Well, I hope above helps…

Shan, NASBA has nothing at all to do with the licensing process. Not sure what the $100 USD you are referring to is about. The fee which is payable to the Comm of MA is $175. The best resource is the MA division of professional licensure. The application for a non reporting license is here https://www.mass.gov/ocabr/docs/dpl/boards/pa/apnonrep.pdf

I never once contacted NASBA, and received my license in March '12. Hope that helps.

    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

since I had to mail my final transcript of my MBA to NASBA for AECR review( when I registered the tests, I was still in school), I called them up and they said I have to finish the online application on NASBA website and pay 100 USD for Academic Evaluation For Certification Report . There would be two times reviews from NASBA, one is initial evaluation and the other one is quality assurance checking. I have had received the receipt and email update from them. Once they are done, they will mail me a letter/report then I can send my application package to MA board as well as 175 USD check.

    Here is the link below-

    https://nasba.org/licensure/nasbalicensing/massachusetts/

According to MA requirement, all the applicants should submit AECR showing “Eligible” status BUT if you have been working in CPA firm for full 1 year, AECR is not required.

So I guess maybe you were going through “AECR not required” category..?

Thank you both for the info – seems like I already provided a number of these documents to Nasba when I picked MA for my jurisdiction so I'm hoping that I don't have to have all new docs again.

BEC - Passed AUD - Passed REG - Passed FAR - Passed
