I’m have a bit of a panic attack this morning and I need help from my fellow Louisiana candidates. I found out that my boss can sign off on my experience before I pass the exam as long as I pass within 4 years of the date of the letter/form. I went on the state boards website to find the form or whatever he is supposed to sign and I stumbled across the education requirements. Can someone else tell me if I am reading this right?
Undergraduate Semester Hours
Intermediate – 6 hours
Cost accounting – 3 hours
Income Tax – 3 hours
Auditing [related to external reporting] – 3 hours
9 hours of accounting electives [see below *]
Total Accounting Courses (Undergraduate) – 24 hours
* Accounting Elective Hours
3 semester hours from one of the following:
Advanced Financial Accounting
Not-for-Profit (or Govt,) Accounting/Auditing
Accounting Theory
I went to Northwestern in Natchitoches. We had to take 3 Intermediate classes, so there is one elective. I took Fraud (Acct 4500) and Natural Resource Acct (Oil & Gas) (Acct 3100). There are my other two electives. If these two didn’t meet the requirements then they wouldn’t let me sit for the exam in the first place, right? I’m okay?
