I passed all sections of the exams and I am currently looking for a job. What should be my Linkedin headline?

Do you have license as approved by your state board?

    FAR: 63, 55, 62
    REG: 65, 77*
    AUD: Fail, 64, 71
    BEC: 72, 74, 81

You can list what you have passed but you cannot list that you are CPA. I list on my resume what sections I have passed as an fyi.

    FAR: 63, 55, 62
    REG: 65, 77*
    AUD: Fail, 64, 71
    BEC: 72, 74, 81

Maybe something like CPA Exam passed-Estimated Licensure date: 7/2015 Just so that it is clear you're not holding yourself out as a CPA and are pursuing the actual license after having passed.

No problem man. These are actually the exact words I used and had already thought about it in advance before getting licensed 🙂

    1) Your linkedin headline should not reference the CPA really. If your REALLY want to though, you could put CPA candidate seeking opportunities. 2) Don NOT put an estimated licensure date. That is dishonest, especially if you put July 2015 when you currently have zero experience and need a minimum of 1 year.

I missed the part of zero experience. You wouldn't be dishonest if you had met the requirements though and put estimated 6/2016…I was using 7/2015 as an example. I wouldn't put estimated then. I have heard of states that don't want the letters CPA or CPA candidate anywhere in your headline or name. I would just put CPA exam passed…CPA candidate doesn't tell anyone anything other than you want to become a CPA…have you taken the exams? Do have enough ACC credits to sit? People that think about becoming CPAs could technically be candidates. You'd want to be specific as possible as to not be misleading. CPA exam passed is good. Straight to the point and presents your accomplishment. Anyone with common sense would know CPA exam passed is not CPA or else you'd just use “CPA”. Anyways it's up to you 🙂 Maybe check with your state board?

Thanks guys! Funny how you said that @law0915, I did a search on google and there was a thread how someone got in trouble for putting CPA candidate as the headline.

I like Law's suggestion … maybe you can even word it license pending work experience hours or All requirements met for CPA license in XState after attaining required work hours, or something to the effect.
