Licensing in IL = Frustrating to say the least

So I passed the exams and mailed the completed application to the IDFPR. I called the IDFPR ten days after I received my certification number from the Illinois Board of Examiners. The IDFPR rep said they have received my information and cashed my check. He continued to say that the process of review had began on May 19, 2015 and that it would take 6-8 weeks from that point. I called today to check the status of my license (8 week mark). It was explained to me that the IDFPR has been back logged and that my new date for the review process began July 6, 2015 and that I will have to wait 6-8 weeks from that date. My last exam passed was April 4, 2015 and once I received my passing score I progressed onto the application process. It appears that my license will not be in my possession until mid to late August. Anyone else have a similar experience with IL?

Yup, I think it was 4 months after I mailed in my application that I was officially a CPA.

NOOOOOOOO! I just turned in my application last week. My parents as well and myself called IDFPR for the experience requirement and they gave several different answers, they are super unorganized.

For what it's worth, California took 3 months until cert was in hand. It's pretty normal I think.
