The CA board recognizes services in the Financial Advisory industry (Merrill, UBS, Morgan) towards your “General Experience” requirement and they want a CPA to attest of the applicants experience. However, the Financial Advisory industry does NOT allow CPA’s on location and even if you are a licensed CPA, you are not allowed to even place the designation on your business card.
