I passed the CPA exam back in 2010 but haven’t kept up with my CPE requirements or paid registration dues to practice in any state. My current job at an investment firm doesn’t require me to offer any services that need a CPA license. None of what I do is accounting related at all. That being said am I allowed to put CPA next to my name on something like an org chart ? Or a firm bio saying that I earned the CPA license? On a business card?

If you didn't actually get licensed then you can't say you are licensed CPA. You can put that you have passed the exam though.

The only time you can put CPA after your name is if a person calling the state board would be told you are an active CPA (or the state license lookup online would show you as actively licensed.)

If you either didn't get licensed or let your license expire you are not a CPA.

If you were actually licensed in 2010, then I think you could say in your bio that you were licensed in 2010 but are not an active CPA, but you couldn't put it next to your name or on business cards etc., and in the bio it couldn't be “licensed since 2010”, just “attained the CPA license in 2010, but is not currently licensed”. I think mentioning you're not currently licensed can look worse than not mentioning it at all, though, since it might make people wonder if you lost your license due to an issue instead of just finances.
