    Jeff,

I have a question on the Staff Accountant position.

It requires 2 or more years of experience. Without either g/l accounting or public accounting experience, I passed all sections of the CPA exam and have 2 years of project management experience. Do you think I might be qualified for this position or not?

    Thanks!

I doubt it…there are tons of candidates out there will 4 sections passed, but no relevant experience in these areas.

A good way to get some experience is to find a small local mom and pop CPA firm, take on about 20 of their bookkeeping clients, roll up your sleeves and get dirty.

That's what I did 8 years ago. I've since worked for 2 public companies.
