So, after two long, rough, head busting years, I have passed all 4 exams. I checked my FAR grade on Friday, and passed, finally (I think I may still be in shock that I am going to be a CPA)! FAR was the one exam I couldn’t seem to pass (kept getting low 70’s).

So, what is next? Do I receive a packet in the mail with what I need to finish? I took the exam in Ohio, and I have read everything on their site on what I need to do. However, they give me no examples of the Ethics exam. How do I go about taking this/getting it over with? I cannot submit my other paperwork until I have the Ethics credit. I did take an ethics course in college (2 years ago) which I thought takes care of this, but I guess not?

    Please Help!!!

I'm in the same boat as you. I ordered my ethics exam from the Missouri society of CPAs, so I would check with your state's Society or Board of Accountancy on this. Other than that, if you hav met your state's experience requirement start gathering the licensure paperwork. In my state this involves an application, affidavit of experience from a current CPA, and some other paperwork.

    Good luck!

Go on the Ohio Society of CPA's website and look for the course/exam that covers the fundamentals of Ohio accountancy law. I believe the course is $99.00. I am in the same boat as you except I still need 7 months of experience, which I am working on right now. Their website is http://www.ohioscpa.org and the course is offered in text and CD-ROM. I have yet to take it so i am not sure exactly how it works.

Make sure you look up the virtual class in their course catalog.

Does OH require work experience before issuing the license?

Ohio requires atleast one year of experience in accounting. You can find all of the details on the Accountancy Board of Ohio's website.
