    Hi,

I just received my license from the State of Colorado and want to join the AICPA. I’m a little confused on the application though as it asks for a firm name and then the next tab asks for my Organization Information.

Do you have to work in public accounting to become a regular member of the AICPA? I work for a relatively small manufacturing company that is not listed in AICPA already. Should I just input my company info. to add them? I’m registering as an individual, so I was just a little confused at the Q’s.

    Thanks!

Congratulation. I have the same situation too. I want to know the answer too.

Also, do you know what advantage we can get if we become AICPA member?

I don't work in public and I'm a regular member…biggest advantage is the CPE deal you get which is really good.

    Thanks Jeff!

The member fee seems pretty steep, but I was planning on joining for the CPE deal also. It looks like the member fee + CPE Express is about the same price as if you just buy the CPExpress access as a non-member. I know there are tons of CPE options, but it just seemed like the easiest way to fulfill the requirement and do it at my own pace.
