I don’t know if anyone is as confused as I am on the process of obtaining your license in IL after passing all exams… but, I can’t seem to find any guidance on next steps after passing the ethics exam.
I passed my ethics exam with a 95% on 12/20. I printed my certificate of completion from the AICPA website, but I have not gotten an email confirmation from either the AICPA or ILBOE that my scores have been received, etc. No communications whatsoever. I’m not sure if I should be submitting my Certification Verification to the IDFPR from the ILBOE website yet, or if I should still be waiting around twiddling my thumbs for the ILBOE to receive my ethics scores and contact me. The Certification Lookup in the ILBOE Online System does not show any record of my certification, so I’m guessing they haven’t received my ethics score.
I guess my question is, how do you know if ILBOE has received your ethics score so that I may continue in the process to get my license? Also, once the score has been received by the ILBOE, is the next step to do the Certification Verification through ILBOE Online System to the IDFPR, or do I go straight to the IDFPR website to start the license application?
Due to the holidays, I’m waiting to give ILBOE a call until after the new year if I haven’t heard anything. In the meantime, any help from the forums is appreciated. Thanks!
