How to tell if a job would qualify for experience?

I’ve been looking for job opportunities that would qualify as experience. I have no experience at this point. For example, would a ‘marketing director’ position qualify?

The experience requirement for WV is here: https://www.boa.wv.gov/licensing/Pages/ExperienceRequirement.aspx

What is the best way to find out if a job would qualify? I don’t want to apply for a job (like marketing director?) that won’t get me anywhere with getting licensed.

It has to be work where you perform accounting duties. It's basically the same requirement here in FL, but it MUST be any type of accounting work.

    CPA for life...

I am pretty sure you would also need to work under a direct supervision of a CPA for at least 12-month. It least that's Maryland requirements

    AUD - 90
    FAR - 83
    BEC - 81
    REG - 80
    ETHICS - 100

From the first paragraph on the page you posted the experience must “any type of relevant service or advice involving the use of accounting, attest, compilation, management advisory, financial advisory, tax or consulting skills.” and “must be verified by the holder of an active West Virginia certificate, a West Virginia registered public accountant or a holder of an out-of-state certificate.”

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

I don't think WV requires working directly under a CPA. You have to have work experience verified by a CPA though. What if a job involves some of the things listed, but also involves other things not on the list?

I know that may sound ridiculous, but I live in a rural area with very small pool of job choice. Businesses here tend to be small and people end up wearing several different hats. Just trying to get an idea of the options.
